Boon Frog Pod Review

PROS:
  • cute, innovative design
  • holds a lot of toys (more than others)
  • holds shampoo, conditioner in the back

CONS:
  • had to try lots of things to get it stay up on the wall, unsteady
  • a little pricey compared to others

As you will notice from my blog, I'm a fan of boon inc. products. I own quite a few of them and use them all the time. The review in this post is about the Boon frog pod which can be attached to your bathroom wall and used as toy storage container. It can also hold your shampoo and washes in the back. It's great for keeping things tidy and organized. It also makes it easier to clean up the bath toys since you can simply scoop them up and let the water drain from the holes in the frog pod scoop. It helps with preventing any mildew issues since it really drains all of the water out of the toys. It looks awesome, really well made. My biggest criticism is attaching it to the wall/area. I first tried to use the adhesive strips it came with. I needed to attach it an acrylic tub wall. It didn't work and within a week, it fell. Luckily no one was in the tub but I am not sure I attached it right (I didn't follow any directions so I wouldn't say the adhesive strips are a bad idea, I just didn't have luck with them and it may be because of the surface I attached it too). After that, I purchased the suction boon strip and used that to put it on the wall. It works pretty well but every once in a while I get a little nervous about it falling and so I'll go check it and make sure it's still sticking properly. I definitely think most of the problem is just my bath tub wall is very slippery and I don't want to drill into it and so it worries me. I have it hanging right above where my children would be playing in the tub. You could probably move it a little farther away. Their are lots of mounting options that boon inc. offers for your frog pod. They offer adhesive strips, suction cups, silicone adhesive, and you can also use the silicone adhesive bracket to drill into a wall if you wanted to do that. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and I do love the scoop idea and it holds a lot of toys which is great. They now also have the red ladybug pod, and the pink ladybug pod which are very cute. I should also mention their are a lot of other brands coming out with similar toy organizing containers. Boon inc. is the first to my knowledge that did something as neat and helpful as this but now their are many that carry similar products and they tend to be less expensive. (oxo kids, skip hop, ore originals, fisher-price are a few). I don't believe any of these products are as big though and hold as many toys as the boon frog pod. I also think the boon frog pod is the only one to hold shampoos in the back of it.
