Pottery Barn Anywhere Chair

This is my review for the potterybarn anywhere chair. I was so excited to get this for my toddler at christmas time. I knew he would love it and I didn't want some cheap and tacky chair, I wanted something with style for him.
This chair is very well made. It's sturdy, the cover is durable and machine washable. The size is perfect (however the baby's first anywhere chair would have been too small. I'm glad I got the regular size). I was able to find this chair on sale for $80 total. I would have bought the chair regular priced and was planning to but was thrilled I found a deal because that is a lot of money for a kid's chair. My other criticism is that the chair cover attracts pet hair like you wouldn't believe. I have a cat that enjoys the chair and was expecting this to be a problem but it is worse than I imagined. I have a regular blue canvas cover but it attracts a lot of hair. I have to use a lint roller on it all the time. Overall, I am thrilled about the chair and happy I bought it. Even though it was expensive, it really was worth the money and I hope to buy a new cover when it outgrows my son and pass it down to my next baby. we'll see...

PROS
  • well made
  • durable
  • easy to put together
  • good size (the regular size, not the first baby anywhere chair)
  • machine washable cover
  • great design

CONS
  • expensive
  • attracts pet hair easily

Boon Frog Pod Review

PROS:
  • cute, innovative design
  • holds a lot of toys (more than others)
  • holds shampoo, conditioner in the back

CONS:
  • had to try lots of things to get it stay up on the wall, unsteady
  • a little pricey compared to others

As you will notice from my blog, I'm a fan of boon inc. products. I own quite a few of them and use them all the time. The review in this post is about the Boon frog pod which can be attached to your bathroom wall and used as toy storage container. It can also hold your shampoo and washes in the back. It's great for keeping things tidy and organized. It also makes it easier to clean up the bath toys since you can simply scoop them up and let the water drain from the holes in the frog pod scoop. It helps with preventing any mildew issues since it really drains all of the water out of the toys. It looks awesome, really well made. My biggest criticism is attaching it to the wall/area. I first tried to use the adhesive strips it came with. I needed to attach it an acrylic tub wall. It didn't work and within a week, it fell. Luckily no one was in the tub but I am not sure I attached it right (I didn't follow any directions so I wouldn't say the adhesive strips are a bad idea, I just didn't have luck with them and it may be because of the surface I attached it too). After that, I purchased the suction boon strip and used that to put it on the wall. It works pretty well but every once in a while I get a little nervous about it falling and so I'll go check it and make sure it's still sticking properly. I definitely think most of the problem is just my bath tub wall is very slippery and I don't want to drill into it and so it worries me. I have it hanging right above where my children would be playing in the tub. You could probably move it a little farther away. Their are lots of mounting options that boon inc. offers for your frog pod. They offer adhesive strips, suction cups, silicone adhesive, and you can also use the silicone adhesive bracket to drill into a wall if you wanted to do that. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and I do love the scoop idea and it holds a lot of toys which is great. They now also have the red ladybug pod, and the pink ladybug pod which are very cute. I should also mention their are a lot of other brands coming out with similar toy organizing containers. Boon inc. is the first to my knowledge that did something as neat and helpful as this but now their are many that carry similar products and they tend to be less expensive. (oxo kids, skip hop, ore originals, fisher-price are a few). I don't believe any of these products are as big though and hold as many toys as the boon frog pod. I also think the boon frog pod is the only one to hold shampoos in the back of it.

This is a review for the yookidoo discovery playhouse. When christmas approached for our 10 month old, I found this cute playhouse dome and so I put it on his christmas list. I didn't really expect that he would get it because I had already purchased his presents and it was a bit expensive but nevertheless, his doting grandparents purchased it for him. We spent christmas morning setting it up; it did take a while. it comes with a travel bag but I can't imagine taking it down and re-setting it up constantly. It's not hard but definitely has pieces to connect and takes time My son has loved it. He plays hide and seek in it and plays with the things that move in it. It's a nylon fabric. I wouldn't say it's super sturdy and durable but it's a fun play dome. I love the colors. Their are little balls that come with it and can be taken out by using the keys it comes with. That's a fun game but too young for my son who is now 13 months. It's definitely a fun play toy and their are lots of things to do. I still feel it's a bit too expensive for what you get but like I said, my son loves it. I also want to mention, we lose the balls a lot and have to find them. That does happen with most toys that have smaller parts though.
PROS: colorful, fun activities, modern looking,
CONS: expensive, a little flimsy, not great for travel

Natursutten Pacifier Review

This pacifier is so fun and cute! I asked for it for christmas when I was pregnant with our second little guy, and my wonderful parents got it for us. It's an all natural rubber pacifier (so you can feel safe knowing their aren't harmful chemicals). I liked the color too, perfect for a boy or girl. We gave our son this pacifier in the hospital and as you can tell by the photos, it's a bit big. lol. It looks a little funny but cute being this big around his face. It's much bigger than the other two pacifiers we use but I have to say, he could still latch onto it fine and it held okay in his mouth. It did fall out maybe a little more than the others but nothing to make a big complaint about. This product is a bit expensive for a pacifier but it is 100% natural rubber. This product claimed to be softer than silicone. It felt the same to me but my son did take a liking to it so it might be when sucking it. You can also choose two options when purchasing this pacifier. They have a rounded pacifier tip, and an orthodontic tip. We chose the orthodontic but it's great they have both options. Many babies prefer the rounded tip. This product is definitely for you if you are eco friendly, or worried about chemicals at all in the pacifier. It also has a good shape for a newborn/baby and was a great fit for our little guy.

Joovy Room2 Playyard ReviewGrade: B+

Joovy Room2 Portable Play Yard, Red first thought: HUGE. The Joovy Room2 is the biggest play yard I've ever seen. It is 10 ft. by 10 ft and it is truly a PLAY yard. My son loves to run around in it, play with his toys, and of course, sleep in the play yard. This is where my son sleeps day in and day out. We got rid of our crib when he turned six months because it was recalled :( and he was already outgrowing it. We decided to try using a play yard and that's when we purchased the Joovy Room2. He sleeps in it every night without problems and I love the space so that he will play in it too! The color choices and perfect (red, yellow, and black) and they are modern with clean lines. I chose red and love the fabric and bright colors. It is pretty simple to set up and take down and comes with a travel bag. It's not the smallest play yard when folded but it's not huge either and does compact well. My biggest con with the play yard is the mattress pad space/sheet. It's difficult for me to get the sheet onto the play yard and it takes quite a bit of time which can be frustrating. Also due to it's unique size, I have to purchase joovy's sheets which are a bit pricey. I would love to see some other colors for the play yard sheets too!, The mattress pad is flat, thin and padded however I wish it was a bit more snug when in the play yard. It's just a tad too small and I'd like it to fit a little more tight. I also think it would be good if the play yard came with a water proof liner pad. Most cribs have them however play yard's in the joovy size don't and it would make it easier during leaks and accidents. All in all, I am very satisfied with the play yard I chose.

Joovy Room2 Portable Play Yard, Red

PROS: spacious, bright colors, design, comes with travel bag, easy set up & take down, dependable fabric
CONS: sheets are expensive, only white sheets, could use more accessories, pad a little small
